At the heart of our 8x4 and 10x4 Agitator models beats one of Isuzu’s most proven engines — the 9.8L 6UZ1. At peak power of 257kW (345PS) @ 2000rpm, it pumps out a walloping 1,422Nm of torque. All models have weight-saving aluminium wheels and a smaller fuel tank option to maximise your payload.

Load-sharing Front Suspension

It’s a smooth operator

Isuzu’s load-sharing front suspension spreads weight evenly across the wheelbase to make loads more manageable. Plus it increases your total gross mass by a tonne. The suspension also features a unique dampener system for a smoother ride and less stress on your chassis.

ISRI Seats

The best seat in the business.

The ISRI 6860 driver’s seat is the CEO of air-suspension seating. It's standard in our Agitator models. Its ergonomic features include dual-stage air lumbar/lateral support, integrated pneumatic system, adjustable shock-absorber and body-hugging upholstery from head to knee.

Heavy Duty Cab Chassis

Precast and purpose-built

Our Isuzu FYJ was born for agitator duties. It has a specialised cab chassis, twin-steer axles, load-sharing front suspension and high-torque engine. Custom chassis dimensions and wheel layout have been designed for heavy duty agitator bodies. Most of our other cab chassis can also work with an agitator body.

Dunlop Tyres

Tread with Confidence

The FYJ Agitator uses Dunlop SP 160s on steer tyres, and SP 431A on drive tyres to provide maximum grip on worksites. With differing but complementary tread patterns, these workhorse tyres are super lightweight, so you can maximise payload every time.
